Thanks for your post. There are a number of different treatment programs and approaches to support addicts who decide to get help. I’ve found Silver Hill Hospital’s adult and adolescent substance abuse treatment programs to be very informative.

I gotta tell ya, I have a fairly close family member who is a long time alcoholic/addict and there is nothing more hopeless than his existence (#10 on the list). Nothing more hopeless than watching my family try to help him time and again with Al-Anon, rehab, halfway houses, etc. Still, his life is a shambles and he eats a lot of meals in jail. It's crazy, Johnny!

Anyway - you are bringing hope and making a difference in a segment of society that knows so much devastation. You are living proof (200%)! ;D

OK, have I met Justin before? What an awesome statement! ...He said that, "fear is faith, just in the wrong thing." That is so good. You said, "He is concerned for me and wants what is best for me, but what is best for me is to have complete faith that He will provide for me." I'm gonna hang on to that.

Wow that's excellent. You said, "I'm always amazed at how an Alcoholic that has had no relationship with God, ever, gets it so much quicker than a "Christian" does."
I've had friends who came out of homosexuality, serious abuse, what have you, and they do "get it", while so many who have been "churchified" just don't. It's like they're glazed over or something. The ones that do "get it" remind me of the sinful woman in Luke 7 . . . forgiven much, loves much.
